Our pickled and oiled SPHC and SPHD carbon steel coils deliver the clean, scale-free surface that modern sheet metal fabrication, stamping, and coating operations demand. The continuous hydrochloric acid pickling process completely removes the mill scale and oxide layer inherent to hot rolled steel, revealing a uniform light gray surface that is immediately ready for downstream processing. Unlike hot rolled black coils that require mechanical descaling, sandblasting, or shot blasting before use, our pickled and oiled material integrates directly into your production workflow, reducing processing steps, labor costs, and lead times. The post-pickling tension leveling operation corrects shape defects commonly present in hot rolled material while imparting controlled surface roughness that optimizes paint adhesion, coating uniformity, and forming lubricant retention. The carefully formulated rust-preventive oil provides months of indoor corrosion protection without interfering with welding, bonding, or coating processes. From automotive structural stampings and appliance cabinets to metal furniture and electrical enclosures, our pickled and oiled coils provide the quality surface and reliable formability that manufacturing operations require.

Pickled and oiled SPHC and SPHD carbon steel coils are the workhorse material for general sheet metal fabrication, automotive stamping, and industrial manufacturing applications. Primary uses include automotive structural stampings (cross members, brackets, reinforcements, seat frames), appliance bodies and internal structural components (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, water heaters), electrical enclosures and cabinet panels, HVAC ductwork and equipment housings, metal furniture frames and shelving systems, agricultural and construction equipment panels, general industrial stampings and fabrications, tube and pipe manufacturing (as feed material for ERW mills), trailer and container structural components, and heavy equipment guarding and enclosures. The clean surface eliminates the need for pre-processing descaling, making these coils particularly cost-effective for operations that paint, powder coat, or galvanize after forming. SPHD drawing quality grade is recommended for parts requiring moderate drawing or stretching, while SPHC commercial quality serves general bending and forming applications.
Packaging & Quality AssurancePickled and oiled coils receive comprehensive protective packaging to preserve the clean surface condition during storage and transportation. Each coil is first wrapped in acid-free interleaving paper followed by VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) anti-rust paper that provides active corrosion protection throughout the packaging. A heavy-duty waterproof polyethylene outer wrap with taped seams prevents moisture ingress during ocean transit. The coil is secured with high-tensile steel strapping in both circumferential (minimum 4 straps) and radial (through-bore) orientations. Edge protection rings on both faces prevent mechanical damage during handling. Coils are palletized on treated wooden skids or steel cradles for forklift handling and container loading. Container stowage includes timber blocking, air bags, and steel lashing to prevent coil movement. Every shipment includes EN 10204 3.1 certificates, surface quality inspection reports, dimensional conformance documentation, and fumigation certificates where required. Our ISO 9001:2015 quality system ensures consistent packaging quality and complete traceability from heat to coil.
